The Old College is a family run business which was established in 1982 and was taken over by Paul Copson in 1999. We provide private treatment to adults 18 and over and NHS care to our 18 years old and under patients. WE DO NOT HAVE A CONTRACT TO TREAT ADUILTS ON THE NHS.
We have a very pro-active regime to gum and teeth health and have a hygienist, who has made great headway in the years she has been here not only help patients to achieve better gum health but also to contribute to educating and providing care to our patients is foremost.

A dental check up is not only an examination of your teeth but a check of your soft tissues for any abnormalities. your mouth is a great indicator of other health problems, and poor dental health can have implications on your health. A Dentist gives you advice on diet, smoking, alcohol use and teeth-cleaning habits and techniques, and the implications of lifestyle choices on your Dental health.
We believe regular Dental hygiene to be an essential service to maintain oral health . A good dental hygiene routine will keep your teeth, gums and mouth clean, minimising plaque and reducing the risk of developing gum disease (gingivitis). it is also essential in patients who suffer with gum disease, diabetes or heart problems to maintain their gum health.

The Old College Dental surgery is delighted to announce that we offer to our patients Digital impressions with the latest dental scan. Contact us for more info.

The practice keeps an hour of emergency appointments per day for patients of the practice. we have an emergency mobile and are available 9- 5 weekends and bank holidays for advice and serious Dental emergencies. We have a reciprocal arrangement with a local Dentist in dealing with emergencies when we are away. A call out fee is applicable.
Periodontal assessments
The Old College Dental surgery is delighted to announce that we are now accepting new periodontal patients and referrals. We have a special interest in Periodontology. Dr. George Moschonas, our periodontal dentist (DWSI), owner and founder of Perioworld.co.uk has a passion in gum disease. We are committed to the best possible patient care and pride ourselves in quality and patient care.
We do offer periodontal consultations and assessments under sedation for anxious patients as well. Periodontal and implant maintenances.
We believe you deserve the best dental care possible. Our team is trained to make all the patients feel calm and informed during every single visit.
Children's NHS Dental Care
we only have a contract for children up to the age of 18.
We don't have an adult NHS contract.
